Does Going Green Make Green Sense?

Sustainable building technology and systems have been around for over a decade. Yet the debate continues with respect to true costs and value. Landlords and leasing agents are feeling increased pressure from tenants that have CSR reporting needs. To attract tenants developers are pressured to keep lease rates competitive but must increase upfront capital costs for buildings and systems. Do "green" buildings lead to happier tenants, higher lease and absorption rates and ultimately more valuable buildings? Join NAIOP as our panelists debate the merits and challenges of green development in Metro Vancouver.
