Essential Services


The Emergency Program Act provides necessary procedures to prevent, respond to or alleviate the effects of any emergency or disaster; and it includes health, safety and welfare guidelines to reduce the threat of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the Act, the Ministry of Public Safety and the Solicitor General addressed recommendations or requirements to limit in-person contacts, as well as, directives to maintain essential services, and protections to hold non-liable for damages associated with COVID-19, persons operating to provide essential services in BC
